Having been driven to be independent by her parents since childhood, Tam entered high school and was always proactive in studying and orienting her future career. She doesn't put too much pressure on herself, but she always tells herself to try to achieve the best results at High School for the Gifted, because there are many good people around her.

For 12 consecutive years, Tam has achieved excellent academic performance, especially Math. In grade 12, the female student won first prize in the city-level excellent student exam. “Sometimes difficult problems are made up of many easy problems. Those who know how to collect that little knowledge will be able to conquer the problem more easily,” the female student shared about her love of learning Math.

According to Tam, Math not only conveys scientific knowledge to learners but also logical thinking, problem-solving skills, perseverance and reasoning ability. It was her passion for this subject that made her choose Computer Science – which is the choice of many male students. “Many people say that Computer Science is difficult for women, but in my opinion, whether you can study well or not depends on each person's level and skills,” Tam said.

Frequently using applications on her phone, Tam always compares and questions the effectiveness and speed of current applications. Programmers have made great contributions to the development of technology. “Programmers can change each person's world in unique ways and I want to participate in creating that change,” Tam shared.

During a trip to Singapore, Tam realized that the public transportation system connected by card was very modern, so she cherished the dream of building a similar system in Vietnam. She believes that society and technology are constantly changing, so we need to practice the ability to adapt and develop in every environment.

“Becoming university valedictorian is both the foundation and the driving force that motivates me to try harder to not disappoint everyone's expectations,” the female student expressed. Entering university, Tam wants to participate in student exchange programs to have the opportunity to study in many different environments.

Having taught Tam for two years in high school, Ms. Le Thi Quynh Anh (Physics teacher at High School for the Gifted) assessed the female student as smart, hardworking and with very good learning ability. Tam also shows seriousness in everything, from studying to school activities. “I believe you will succeed because of your inherent confidence and strength,” the teacher said.
